Clermont has some of the steepest terrain in Florida, and the ridge soil under it is deep, fast-draining sand. That combination causes two problems we fix every week: erosion and washouts on sloped lots, and dry, stressed turf at the top of hills where water runs off before it soaks in. We terrace and plant slopes with ground covers and shrubs that hold soil, design irrigation zones by elevation, and choose drought-tolerant plants for the high spots.

Clermont follows the St. Johns River Water Management District schedule. Under the 2026 Phase III water shortage order, odd-numbered addresses water on Saturday, even-numbered addresses on Sunday, and no irrigation is allowed between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. New sod and plantings get a temporary establishment allowance. We set every controller we install to the current rules.
HOA Communities
Many Clermont neighborhoods, including Kings Ridge, Legends, Summit Greens and Hartwood Reserve, require architectural-review approval before changing a front yard. We prepare the plan drawings and plant lists the committees ask for and use plants from the approved palettes.
